'Happy Birthday, Merry Christmas!' is a true story about a young girl named Merry Christmas, born on Christmas Day in Saint Nicholas Hospital. Through her joyful Christmas Spirit, Merry reminds those around her about what is important during the holiday season, and in life, by being joyful, kind, giving, and of course dressed head to toe in holiday attire. Merry's pride in her one-of-a-kind name inspires others to truly embrace who they are and what they love most.
INSPIRATION
Betsy was inspired to write 'Happy Birthday, Merry Christmas!" based on her real-life mom,
Merry Christmas.
Merry Christmas Sedlak (formerly Garberg) was born on Christmas Day 1952 in Saint Nicholas Hospital in Sheboygan, Wisconsin. She currently resides in Shoreview, Minnesota with her husband, Mike, dog, Lola, and is close by to her daughter and loving extended family.
Merry is known by her friends and family for her joyful holiday spirit & decorated home, often referred to as Winter Wonderland or the Christmas house.
